Founded in 1988, Near East University (NEU) is one of the most important and prestigious educational institutions in the Asian and European region. NEU offers a world-class education along with several academic and social opportunities to around 30,000 students from over 124 countries worldwide.

The modern campus comprises 19 faculties, more than 100 departments, five graduate schools, and four vocational schools. NEU is the only unrivaled academic institution in North Cyprus offering degree programs in Dentistry and Medicine, with JCI-accredited hospitals.

In collaboration with IBM, NEU established the Centre for Innovation and Information Technology in 2007.

The cost of education at Near East University is among the cheapest in the region for the standards offered. All international students receive scholarships that cover 50% of their tuition fees (except Medicine and Dentistry). Annual tuition fees under the general scholarship plan range from €2800 to €12600, depending on the program chosen.

All international students enrolled in a full-time program at NEU receive a 50% scholarship, except the Department of Medicine and Dentistry. Students who achieve impressive results consistently can receive further scholarships, reducing tuition fees to just 25%.

NEU has many residence halls on campus that can accommodate over 6,000 students. Accommodation costs between €150 to €370 per month. Fully furnished apartments include a living room, kitchen, bathroom, heating, wireless internet, and a student lounge.
