General Admission Requirements to Northern Cyprus Universities

While each university may have their own specific requirements, there are some general ones that apply to most institutions. Here is a more detailed summary of the most common admission requirements for Northern Cyprus universities:

1. English Language Requirements for Northern Cyprus Universities

In Northern Cyprus, courses are conducted in English, so it is necessary to meet certain English requirements for admission to Northern Cyprus universities. However, individuals from English-speaking countries or those who have completed their secondary education in English will be exempted from the English language requirements.

For applicants from French-speaking or Portuguese-speaking countries with no prior English background, a level exam will be required upon arrival. The admission team at Himalaya Travel will provide all the necessary details and dates for these level exams.

The following international tests are accepted by all Northern Cyprus universities:

• Duolingo: Passing score of 80
• TOEFL iBT: Passing score between 41–46
• IELTS Academic: Passing score of 5.0

2. Admission into Undergraduate Programmes in Northern Cyprus Universities

The following documents must be submitted on the Himalaya Travel website's application page for your application to be considered:

1. A clear biometric photo (5mm*5mm): This photo should be recent (not older than 6 months) and of high quality, as it will be used on your Unconditional Acceptance letter.
2. High school/secondary certificate or diploma: This can be an A or O level, WAEC or NECO, GCSE, or equivalent.
3. High school transcript (mark sheet): This is optional.
4. Evidence of English language competence: This can be a Duolingo, TOEFL, or IELTS test and it's optional.
5. Photocopy of the passport (relevant page) or birth certificate: You can apply using any official document that can prove your identity (National ID, driver's license), but you will need your passport ready before applying for your Visa.

3. Admission into Master Programmes in Northern Cyprus Universities

For the Master program, the following documents must be submitted in addition to the ones mentioned above:

• A valid Bachelor's degree transcript from a recognized university.
• A valid Bachelor's degree diploma.
• A Curriculum Vitae (CV).

4. Admission into PhD Programmes in Northern Cyprus Universities

For the PhD program, the following documents must be submitted in addition to the ones mentioned above:

• A valid Bachelor's & Master's degree transcript from a recognized University.
• A valid Bachelor's & Master's degree Diploma.
• A CV and a research proposal.
